Impotence and incontinence

Urological Implants

Methods

Incontinence after procedures such as radical prostatectomy, or after nerve damage such as spinal cord damage, can be treated using an artificial sphincter. Severe erectile dysfunction can be treated with penis implants; semi-rigid and inflatable models are available.

Indications

Incontinence in women and men that cannot be managed by other methods. Implants for severe erectile dysfunction in men.

Routines

Patients are admitted the day before surgery, and usually stay in the hospital for 1-3 days. About 4 weeks sick leave is required.
